We are looking for a highly motivated immunologist to investigate the role of vaccine carriers for influenza.
As a post doc in the Ainslie lab you would be working closely with an interdisciplinary team and expected to be active in every level of the research from polymer development to work with different animal models. This position is a temporary position for 1-3 years. We are not seeking individuals interested in a long-term research position.
The Ainslie lab is located at The University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC in the Eshelman School of Pharmacy in the newly finished Marsico Hall. The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy is #1 in the country. This position will be part of a NIH funded project. Education and Experience:
Must have at least two first author publications (out or in press) in English language peer reviewed journals.
Possess the following skill sets: Flow cytometry XR-Fortessa, ELISA, ELISpot, ABSL2 pathogen handling and murine infections, murine immunizations (i.p. and tail vein), adoptive transfers and bone marrow chimeric mice generation, murine tissue collection and immunohistochemical staining with fluorescent microscopy, tissue culture, quantitative PCR, Western Blot, RNA/DNA extraction and isolation, IBMSPSS Statistics, R commander, and GraphPad Prism and Canvas softwares
